July 5 - First Presentation to our Client

The students all arrived by 7:30 am. There were a few tech issues as we set up, but all were resolved, students and client were good natured through the duration. At 7:58 the official presentations began. Deena led the way as the MC, doing a masterful job of setting the stage for her colleagues. Devin, Taylor, and Melissa followed explaining their groups concepts for the exhibition space. Deena returned to conduct the Q and A session with Melissa asking an insightful question for the class. The Skype conversation lasted about an hour. The students then took a break to grab coffee and some breakfast.

After the break the class gathered to get feedback. Then we all packed up and headed to Exhibitree http://exhibitree.com/ in Irvine to learn more about the world of options available to the designer when it comes to the crafting of exhibition spaces. Mr. Gene Smith of Exhibitree graciously came in over the long holiday weekend to give us a two hour tour and educate us on professional exhibition design.
