July 14

Today we sampled the hotels breakfast menu. It was diverse and pretty good by all accounts. It is nice to not have to prepare your own, or go off site to find something.
We then gathered together and left the hotel to go to the closest tube station to catch a train to catch the sight seeing bus to enjoy a tour of London. London has been very warm. We left early to beat the heat.
There were several street closures and a 10k race. The bus could not go on its normal route. It was the longest hottest bus ride ever. The group split up to shelter from the heat and satisfy some hunger issues. After getting water and a bit of food some of us continued on for the river tour.
Several of us went out for a walk and for dinner. There was a bit of an adventure after dinner as we inadvertently were locked into Regents Park. We had to climb a locked gate to get out and then help too older Syrian women who had been locked in on the other side. They were very appreciative of our good Samaritan efforts. Thanks to Zach, Henry, Greg, Tony, for going above and beyond to physically lift and comfort these distraught women. That aside the evening air was beautiful and the sights were nice too.
